What Kind Of It Hardware And Internet Connection Will I Need To Run A Web Service The Size Of Google Or Ebay?
Sunday, February 28th, 2010I have an idea for a webservice/webcommunity that will, if all goes as plan, generate as much traffic and interest as something like google or ebay. My question is, what kind of server hardware/software (storage space) and internet connection will i need to support something like that? I’m guessing a T1 line for an internet connection but don’t know a whole lot about that and the costs and the costs of hardware. Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated. If someone can give me a quick overdraft of the necessities I would be most greatful.

How Can I Get A List Of All Stocks By Industry Codes Used In Google, Etrade, Reuters?
Saturday, February 27th, 2010I notice Google Finance, Etrade and Reuters all use the same Sector and Industry classifications (Yahoo uses a different one). None of them use SIC codes or NAICS codes.
I would like to download to Excel a list of all companies/stocks/tickers, along with their Sector and Industry codes, as used by Google/Etrade/Reuters.
